If your cruiser has clean rust free and low damage especially the E-1973 fenders (the thick ones) PLEASE do not cut them. As time goes on there are fewer and fewer of these thick fenders around. Once cut, they are gone. Cut the Taiwanese replacements or body damaged fenders first. ...from my tenure in AZ, I saw many a fixable fender trashed either by cutting or replaced with another fender (and the original thrown in te dumpster). They are already WAY cut...he just wants to take the last 3" off. I just cut down one of those pre-73 fenders and you are right...I should have his Stephen up for another cheapo.
