will a '85 chevy Np 208 bolt to the TF 727 in a '85 wagoneer? i know the 80's Jeep truck 208s bolt up, but will the chevy need an adapter?

I'm pretty sure your going to want to get a 23 spline input and the 7" addapter for that- if you cannot find these feel free to give me a call i have a connection in oregon that may have it- Jess

I know the bolt pattern is the same, but you will need the input shaft like Jess said, and you would be much better off to get the tailshaft and housing from the jeep 208 also because it does not use a slipyoke

so dont use the chevy one and find a jeep one? i thought the jeep one was 32 spline?

jeep 208: 23 spline input 27 spline outputs
chevy 208: 27 spline input (t350 version) 32 spline input (t400 version) probly 27 spline outputs

i dunno bout any 7" adapter. what's that needed for?

I know its not an np208, but I've been told on several occations by different sources that a jeep d300 is a direct bolt on for the wagoneer 727's.....I had plan to run one, but ended up sticking with my t18.

only problem with that is that you have to have at least 4" of lift to fit a decent front driveshaft. or you can trim the tranny. the d300/tf727 combo does work tho

the 727/300 combo is exactly what I am running...
