OHV interest on the California Desert Advisory Committee needs your support!
Here is the letter I sent to Gale Norton. Cut & paste if you'd like:

Secretary Norton:
It has come to my attention that the California Desert Advisory Committee off road positions, one of which is presently held by Roy Denner, are up for reappointment. Because Mr. Denner represents recreation interests on the board, he does not expect to be reappointed due to the fact that Tim Salt, the Desert District manager is an environmental activist and anti OHV. Mr. Salt seems intent on filling the vacancies with people that would support his anti OHV position, and Mike Pool, the California State Director, seems to be condoning, if not actually supporting Mr. Salt's attempt to fill the board with his supporters.
The OHV community needs a voice on the DAC. That voice is Roy Denner. Without someone to represent us, we will be subjected to the extreme side of the environmentalist groups who would shut down all OHV areas simply because they can.
Roy Denner represents recreation interests on the Council, as well as addressing specific off-highway vehicle activities and concerns. He is an officer and member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego Off-Road Coalition and a member of the Sierra Club. He is active in numerous recreation and community organizations and activities. I strongly urge you to reappoint Mr. Roy Denner to the California Desert Advisory Committee.
Thanks for your support,
Signed....
