So what do you guys use to measure trigger pull weight?
I'm not going out to buy a scale, I don't need it that accurate.
I've been gunfawking my little Marlin Model 60's trigger, and it feels much improved, but I'd like some sort of empirical data to compare with.
Said rifle has had a coil cut from the hammer spring, the sear spring weakened and I attacked the sear/hammer engagement area with a file.

A plastic bag and some cans of soup?

Ive heard you and point the rifle in the air, tie a string around the trigger and in some form or fashion add weights to the other end of the string slowly to see where it breaks.

well I got that much of it, what to use that's semi accurate for weights, it's not like I've got 5 pounds of
oh shit, I do have five pounds of lead laying about.
So, some string a plastic bag and however many 180 Gr .40 bullets it takes.
I guess I just didn't think hard enough.
