We just did a swap with a 93 TBI350 into a FJ40. it has run for a couple days now and went for the first drive today. Everything was fine, ran great. Came home, parked it and now it wont start.
The coil has power to it at the right times but there is no spark.
the fuel pump runs but the injectors are not working. power is there.
does anyone know what this could be? This thing is supposed to leave for the rubithon tomarrow.
thanks for the help

i assume you checked all the fuese already......
did you guys put a scanner on it?
the igniton modules in the dizzy are known to have problems. always carry a spare. i'd start there.

As mentioned...take your ignition module out of the distributor and take it to your local auto parts. Most auto parts stores can plug it in to a tester to check if it's good.
If it does turn out good you may want to check your oil pressure switch. If it's bad you'll get fire while cranking but as soon as you let go the engine will die.

doesn't make alot of sense in your situation, but anything is possible.
the signal wire from the starter, that starts the injecters, may have come off or broken.
again only a thought if the ignition module isn't the prob, and the OPS isn't broken.

He got it up and is in the springs as we speak. I don't know what fixed it but it's up. I'd imagine he'll get back to everyone next week.

Thanks guys for all the help. It turns out the Distributor pickup was bad. I had a spare so we swaped it out. They did make it trough the rubicon for the rubithon. Couple small problems but nothing major.
Thanks again
Bill.
