i dont really feel like buying aftermarket longer brake hoses or getting expensive or anything. i know with my jeep i can buy old chevy lines that are longer and will fit, but are there any stock lines that are longer that stock k10 lines thatll fit?

how much lift? ive ran 6inch lifts on a few trucks and i use the stock lines just reposition the brake line bracket

currently its only 4 inch lift, my plan is a shackle flip, so 8 in. i havent done the brakes yet, i know i can just bend the hrdlines for now, but when i go to 8, id prefer to have longer lines than risk it. im thinking i could just use 1/4 FI fuel line and make sure to clamp it really really tight... jk jk

yeah anything more then a six your gonna have to make some drop brackets... i looked for a while for longer stock brake lines and couldnt find them anywhere that was compatible. i put a set of k5 blazer axles under a s10 and did the same thing. googled around. went to a autoparts store that actually has catalogs. i eventually went the proper way and did the stainless steel brake lines.

heres what i did for my k5 when i had a 6inch lift on it

2wd chevy lines are the tits, you remove the one clamp that would normally bolt to the a arm and you have a hella long line.

1) i notice your hardline doesnt feed straight into the coupler, but more at an angle, can that be a potential :nuke:?

2)ya, but are they going to be compatible with a 4x4 caliper? the 4x4 lines are 19.63 in, and 2wd are 21.25 in

I had some lines custom made(rubber cause their braided ss wasnt sleeved) for $30 ea, but I needed 36 in.

Custom stainless steel braided lines LONG enough to function for the lift are not that expensive. I think I paid $75 for all 3 of mine.

ya, 75$ isnt too bad, i forgot, but i beleive napa can build brake lines for a decent price, im just trying to avoid steel lines, i just keep hearing theyre no good.

some stainless braided isnt sleeved or coated, similar to faucet style braided hose, not worth it and it can still be compromised by something like a cactus needle, so Im told, makes sense.

Coated stainless lines aren't bad.
