This is the GenRight "Swing Down" rear tire carrier for rock crawling that we call the Boulder Series Tire Carrier.

This tube style tire carrier is in line with our other high quality products that allow you to keep your rear seat (or rear cargo area). This tire carrier is made with Heavy Duty 1-1/2" diameter x .120" wall steel tubing. This cutting edge carrier fits tight to the rear (only 15-1/2" off the tailgate!) for excellent rear clearance and the best possible departure angle.

This is also a great rattle free way to hold up to a 40" spare tire that will not rip apart the back of your Jeep! Combine that with easy access by one person to change up to a 40" off-road tire and you have a perfect choice for a trail rig with big tires.

This Rear Carrier includes:

* 1/4" thick internal gussets that tie the carrier through the body to the cage (specific for a TJ/LJ)
* License plate mounting tabs, welded in place
* A fish wire is pre-installed for pulling electrical wires through the tire carrier tubing for a license plate or 3rd brake light.
* Greaseable urethane bushings isolate each of the 4 mounting points to eliminate rattles!
* Rear crossmember mounting brackets (2)
* Grade 8 mounting hardware
* Mounting brackets can be adjusted from 0" up to 1.25" body lifts

* The design is 100% pre-welded and shipped to you assembled!
* Easily fits up to 40" diameter tires.
* Entire assembly only weighs 55lbs!
* Works with hard or soft tops.
* Lightening holes in mounting plate make an excellent spot to mount back up or rock lights
* Easy latching mechanism, uses self locking quick release pins
* Tire/wheel mount will hold any bolt pattern and any offset
* Once open, can be used to walk up for easy access to the rear cargo area
* Shipped to you un-painted

Yes you can. We have a new lower bumper plate that is available for the CJ. Pricing is the same as the TJ, LJ & YJ's.

I have a CJ with a BTF bumper. Will the upper mounts fit a CJ while the lowers mounts adapted to work with my existing bumper?

Yes it will fit the upper...as for the lower mounts...how far does the bumper sit off the factory rear cross member?
