What a great rig this is, I've been having some fun with this since i got it. ( No pics of it in action:oops:)
I have since made some changes, nothing to major...... YET8)
Well I had Chris/Ecoli fab up a new bumper hoop with mini stinger and a set of rock sliders for this Jeep. I didnt care for the look of the old tube work and didnt like the plastic running boards.
Flex was not the greatest. Needless to say I changed the suspension. I removed the delrin blocks, the stiff springs and the traxxas shocks. For the rear I cut some 90 degree alum. mounted a spring retainer to the bottom of it and to the axle housing. I used Losi MRC soft springs as my coils and used a pair of TLT shocks that had be machined, for the rear. I removed the coils and shocks from the front and replaced them with rc4wd 110mm coil over shocks. Once again I replaced the stock springs with Losi MRC soft springs, now the jeep performs much better. I'm still not to happy with the ride height and may re-visit that soon. For now here are some pics of the Jeep in the current state. The body is sitting a little high in the pics because of the new head light buckets( their hitting the chassis) the body does sit lower in the front and lines up perfectly with the hoop.
( the bumper and sliders with be getting paint soon, I just havent got around to it just like my truggy chassis:laugh:")
