Los Coyotes Closing

Saw the sign at the gate, scheduled closing is May 2001. Ask the lady at the gate about it and she said they may keep it open through the summer but is not sure. Well, there goes a great wheelin area!!!

<FONT COLOR="Yellow">From what I understand there are 3 reasons for closing it.. I don't know if you know but the trail is located on land that belongs to an Indian tribe in So Cal....

1. "supposedly" there is a lot of trash and other things being dumped along the trail and on the tribal land.

2. The Indians don't need the revenue anymore, now that they got a casino or gambling hall of some sort going.

3. Cows are sacred and the vehicles are "disturbing them"..

Don't hold me to all these, but I'm pretty sure those were the reasons going around all the Land Use Lists a few months back..</FONT c>
