Ok,

As you guys know I have been playing alot with my front springs and lift. Well I went to the 3.5 inch realm and finally got a vibration.

I don't know shiat about driveline phase, and I did the search but didn't come with much. I want to try and change the phase by a spline or so, to see if my vibs go away. I was fine with 3", but as soon as I went to 3.5 it went to shiat.

Which direction do I go? Does it matter? Is it trial by fire?

go more out of phase.
Before I went to a CV shaft I played with this, one more spline further out of phase than stock, and it seemed to work, but I was getting vibes @ 2" of lift, when I lifted it another inch the vibes were back and I went to a CV shaft.
Cheap and easy to try though.
Cheers
Daryl

phasing is a tricky thing - there's a formula to figure it out but it takes some trick math:D - or you can try it blind and who know's you may get lucky- from what i've seen on most out of phase type applications its 22.5 degree's out- seems to be a magic phase # - or go dual c/v's -Jess

jess got the shaft good god is that thing heavy. Installing it on Monday we'll see how she does. Gotta put that unimportant thing (the transmission) back in and I'll be half way there. Still gotta do the exhaust ect and start on the new suspension but my defender should be back in action next week (crossing fingers) I'll thorw some pics up when everything is together.
