Can someone help me out with identifying which 14-bolt housing I have? It didn't have brakes when I bought it so I don't know for sure but everything points at C&C 1-ton version (40.5" perches). I just can't see dually hubs on it with the brake mounting flanges where they are.

Here are some measurements:

Outside of spindle to brake flange = 7.5"
Outside of spindle to spindle = 70"
Axle shaft lengths = 31-5/8" & 37-5/8"

is the diff coverd in ribs?

where are the wheel hubs,

the shaft lengths are for the 67" srw and 63"drw.

standard 1ton from 73-91[at the very least.]

Have you looked at the 14B Bible? What is the WMS-WMS measurement? 67.5" = SRW, 70" = Van, 72" = Dually, 63"-65" IIRC = C&C.

(no ribs, its the older one)

yea i've just about memorized the bible at this point and searched all over. I didn't get the hubs with the housing but a buddy gave me some SRW's. This is what leads me to believe its NOT a dually.

Example:
I set the SRW hubs on the spindle and the WMS comes out close to 67". But from the back of the hub where the drum would mount to the face of the brake mounting plate it measures 5"....? So with DRW hubs it would only be 3" from the brake plate, right?

I have a picture at home i'll post up tonight.

no, the brake mount would be pushed back on the tube. it wiould be right up next to the perch.

here is the picture w/SRW hubs. I measured from the brake plate to where the perch used to be and its about 6". So does mean its a 1-ton SRW?
