The only spots i know of are mammoth bar, prarie city, marysville, greenhorn, and a couple places here in rocklin. Anybody know of any other places to ride(mx or trails) in the area? thanks

forrest hill and george town are just a little bit out of auburn. they are a lot of fun.

i still go to stonyford though. even though i moved farther away. it's just the best place in the state as far as i'm concerned. clear creek is cool too, but that is a real long drive for you. have you ever gone to shasta chappie? that's another place that kicks a$$.

there is a really cool place south of placerville out towards jackson. i think it's called Elkins flat. the forty niner enduro is held there. i haven't been there for a weekend warrior trip yet but when i rode the enduro it was some bitch'n riding.

i have to agree with that. i go to Stoneyford every thanksgiving for about a week and it kicks ass. if you venture out to nevada there is some cool riding over near gardnerville. about 45 min from south lake tahoe.

There are alot of places between Auburn and Placerville. Fot some tech riding I love the the 'Con. And Forest hill is huge, up at China Wall staging area the trails are really challenging and down at the lower staging areas there are some good trails for family riding and intermediate riders. If you want to go for some Mad Max stuff and a great MX track, in Marysville there a rouge place called the shad pad, bunch a crazies out there, throttle in one hand and beer in the other. Getting a little further away is a place called Date Flats somewhere near Yosemite, can't say exactly where, it's highly coveted. Great all around riding is Hollister, plenty of tracks and trails for everyone. On the other side of Tahoe just south is Sand Mountain, kinda Mad Max type place but pretty fun. My favorite so far is Forest Hill.

Anyone hear of a place in N. Cali called rock creek? I guess it's somwhere up HWY 50, but I don't where. I'm supposed to go riding this weekend with a bunch of guys up there, but I need to know where it is so I can make carb adjustments if needed for elevation.

Its the area above Georgetown. kinda dry right now but its good riding IMO better than Foresthill.
