May be buying an 85 blazer with a 6.2L diesel. Any info on these? Are they the bigger body style? Am i going to have major engine problems? Guy says he drives it out of state no problem but i wanted to go to the experts.

It is the fullsize. I think the reliability is alright on the 6.2's. Had an uncle and two cousins that ran them. The only problem I remember them having was w/the 700r4. Theirs were '82's and '83's that had the worst trannys. I just know that they are not the most powerful things out there. Gale Banks has a good aftermarket kit to boost the HP/Torque.

We have (2) 6.2 diesel trucks and they run with no problems. We even got the Banks "Sidewinder Turbo" on one and it's quite peppy. You won't win a drag race but you get 20+ MPG for a fullsize and thats excellent. The guys with the powerstrokes will envy your gas mileage.....lol
