It's impossible to put up standings until after the 3rd event, most teams have not paid for the series until the 3rd event. up until the 3rd event it easy enough for you do to the math as it is for us, and guess who is really running for the series points.....:flipoff2:

Big Rich,
Please do not mistake my enthusiasm for sarcasm. I would love to keep up to date with where the teams are on my own but there seems to be problems with the links to event scoring. Example, Web link to scores from Hannibal MO, last month http://www.we-rock.cc/scores.php?wgo=25 . I was hoping to see a final score sheet for the weekend by this point in the evening.

I will get some of our pics up tomorrow. I have spent the last five hours that I've been home putting the finishing touches on the 2010 Rausch Creek Calendar (after a much needed shower and dinner of course) so it can go to print tomorrow.

All in all Matt and I cranked off over 2,000 shots. I did give them a quick glace and there are some real gems in there... so I will work on them after I get back from the print-shop tomorrow. No worries!

Another awesome event pulled off by the team at Rausch Creek Offroad Park.

One question, though, that Big, Lil, or Dustin could answer--why was there no Stock Mod Shootout? There were enough teams to make it worthwhile and the final scores were just as tight as Pro Mod or Unlimited . I would think that if a competitor pays the pretty healthy entry fee that they should get everything coming to them. Not having a SO basically denied the top six teams, as well as their sponsors and the fans, a percentage of what they paid to run and see. Anyone have any input?

That was a freakin blast! We had so much fun this weekend, I can't tell you. Kurt and I were in the same group, he followed me on Saturday and I followed him on Sunday. We battled back and forth on Sunday when Kurt missed a cone that we hit on the last course.

Jim did an outstanding job for 2 days keeping us on track and finishing every course. My crew, Brian Moyer and Dave worked their butts off all day Saturday keeping my rig working with a leaking power steering line that wasted the pump by the end of Saturday. Zach and Brian got us back together and ready for Sunday. My wife Angela was running allll over the place both days.
AtoZ Fab has done such an amazing job on my TJ, it just plain worked. The Clayton suspension made the bonuses look silly. The Maxxis tires went where we wanted them.

The RC staff and judges are fantastic. The event went so fast I couldn't keep up..really. You guys and gals make this stuff happen.

Thanks Kurt and Ron for the Apple Pie, many laughs, and the tips while we competed.

All the competitors were just great people and easy to talk to. The courses were tight! And fun to figure out. Dustin, you do such a great job keeping the people informed.

Thank each and every one of you very much, we will be back again.

There were enough teams to make it worthwhile

We set a policy, the teams know know what the policy is, 8 teams "is not enough" to reach the minimums for a stock mod shootout and second, they did not finish in time on Sunday so they missed BOTH of the qualifications for us to host a SM Shootout. We already were competing until after 4pm and used all of our assets to the max. We have had the same policy about this for a couple years now and for a very good reason.

Please, don't argue this here. If the teams want to have the policy changed, they will need to provide us with their proposal and reasoning through the proper channels and in the proper place.

It sucks but there needs to be a standard. I never knew there was a rule about it! If it isn"t wriitten then it needs to be! Same for all classes and not just for stock mod. Whatever. It was a great event.

Personally, Kurt, I don't think anyone "could have lost" this past weekend. More competition runs in your class would have just benefited the competitors and the spectators. With how tight it was in your class it sounded like everyone was having fun--that is what it is all about, IMO. Dustin and I have talked about it via PM and I now understand We Rocks position better and while it may not create a Utopia, it is a system they follow and there are reasons for it.

Either way, you will have good competition in the ASNs. :grinpimp:

Mike for hooking us up with the RV...Sorry he couldn't be there. Thanks to all the judges and staff that came out to make this thing run smoothly.
It was really great to see all the hard work come together. The best part is that we still have room for improvement in the standings, with the buggy, and as a team. AJ did a fantastic job dodging cones. I can't wait to take another shot at the terrain at Dayton.

I also did not know anything about a shootout, so I asked Lil' Rich. I told him that we should have a set standard. One way or another I did not care, but we needed to know. He told me, that it takes ten teams for a shootout. I left it at that, but was also wondering why we get left out. Were there ten teams in any class? I don't think so. Everyone seems to have a different anwser. Where can we get the information? Thanks for the help

Had fun this weekend out in PA. Long drive for us but it wasn't so bad when compared to most teams. Dave(long time listener, first time spotter) did a great job helping me get threw the courses. Being our first time together, a couple miscommunications really cost us just a few crutial points. That, and at this point here

I agree with you Dustin there is a process, but as a competitor I have asked for access to the competitors forum multiple times and have not even gotten a response much less an answere. How are competitors from the local series suppose to follow these discussions if competitors from the WEROCK series are not able to get access?

From a fan's perspective, this comment from Ron really sucks considering he is the driver of the Quadratec sponsered pro mod driver. If he cannot get in the private forum, I guess it leaves the little guy in the lurch.

Who is calling who out? I saw a question from Zach (who owns a company who sponsers teams, and sponsered the second place team in the stock class), which was answered in a pissy way and told to take it private. How can some of these guys take it private if they cannot get into that forum? You probabaly do not know Ron, but I do, and I asure you that he is not calling anyone out-- he is just stating the facts, as he has every right to do.

My point, which I admit that I did not make well, is that you have one example of a driver here who has asked to become part of that private forum, and has not been let in-- so how can that realistically be the clearinghouse for all competition related information? I am not bashing Lance or Pirate-- it is not really their responsibility to control a private forum for We rock.

My point really is that WE Rock and Pirate are two seperate and different organizations. If you, or we rock or Dustin expects that a private Pirate forum is the only place to get we rock information out, that is a flawed thought process, and there should be a way to make sure that everyone gets into that forum that competes.

My point is if you dont like the way it is on here call them on the phone. They are available 24/7. Everyone on here doesnt care if you like how they do the shootout or not.

For one thing you don't know me so you should keep your comments to youself till you have all the facts. If I knew who to talk to directly I would have. I tried to go through the proper channels and was not successful. I was not complaining but just stating a fact. I agree with Dustin this should not be discussed in a public forum. That is why werock has a round table for teams to discuss these issues.

Sorry if I may have offended anyone.:flipoff2:

which was answered in a pissy way.

Read much? That wasn't pissy, it's just that text is devoid of inflection.

He was answered with an accurate answer, short and to the point...what do you want me to do, give him a cookie and kiss his ass in an amazingly PC way??? Sorry, not going to happen.

Again, there is a process...if people want to be involved in that process, they'll make sure they get involved. We are a tiny group of people trying to host a major series. Don't like it...just try to spend one week doing what we do and you'll understand. If you're not willing to step up, then how about giving us the benefit of the doubt that we've actually done things to the best of our ability, with the limited assets we have, FAR longer than any other group, and along the way developing more competition areas than anyone else. Oh and by the way...do it all without making enough to even buy ONE new pickup or nice thing in over NINE years of hard work...

:shaking:

There is a process...it may not be perfect but it's not bad either. We work with our teams in private for a reason and Pirate is the choice of the teams if you hadn't paid attention enough over the MANY years we've been doing this to recognize that. Pirate is a clearing house of info for everyone and they had a choice to do it strictly through W.E.Rock or via Pirate or any other method they would prefer...it was unanimous. It works, don't try to make something out of this that is not even close to being a big deal.

I had a great time at the event and I was only a photographer! Got to meet a lot of kick ass people such as Shannon and Nick Campbell and the guys that were out RC Crawlin on Saturday after the first day of the event. Since I'm really a nobody to these people I didn't think they would take the time to chat to me about things but Nick and I talked for a while on Sunday before the start of the event. Everyone was great to talk to and meet up with!
