Quick question here. Just bought a house with a unique item in the basement. A 5 or 6 foot chest freezer that looks to be from the 60's made by IH. It has the Harvester badging on the front and is in great shape, no rust haha. Pretty cool for an international guy, Iam more of a Land Cruiser & Rover guy. Any value in something like this? it works. The girlfriend wants to sent it to the dump.

I'd like to have it if it works, but I fear it'll freeze my beer :homer:

If you were closer I'd come pick it up. After doing the math, it looks to be around $700 for me to drive out and bring it back. Is it worth it?

Also try www.justih.org they are in your area, I'm sure someone will be happy to take it.

I had one. Hauled it around through several moves until the novelty wore off. Heavy old thing and thirsty for electricity. Take the badges off and slap em on a new freezer, call it good.
