Anyone else who has swapped a D60 notice they dont even come close to the steering stops now? Or do all you guys with a 60s run 44s or cross over and cant turn your wheel that far anyways? I know it is not just me because I have a couple friends who have experianced the same thing. I guess the steering gear boxes for the D60 trucks had more throw or something. Anyone know how they compare to a 2wd steering box since ill be going crossover soon?

Just another reason the stock steering SUCKS... Switch to the 2WD box and do cross over you won't regret it. If you need any help in that department.....contact me.....:D

I used a 79 camaro box and the longest pitman arm that I could find, and it turns quite well.

The problem lies with stock style steering with a lift, the steering sucks do a cross over that problem will go away as long at it is set up properly.

Since my 60 is on a blazer she stills turns pretty good but buddy has one under a 74 crew cab long bed which turns about as good as a 53' trator trailer.
