I'm sorry for your loss, at least he's in a better place now.

But at least I got some more work done on the wiring and she starts now...
Sunday was a day of fishing and Grilling. :flipoff2:

I feel your loss man. I lost my Father when I was 17, and I just lost my Mother last October.

Weekend:

Finally got most of my tools down from Phillipsburg. All that's left is some angle iron sticks, and my other specialty tools. Should be able to bring the Scout and T-all down within the next few weeks. It's been a long time comin! But I feel like I've been in a bar fight and I got my ass kicked.

Laid hardwood floor/installed trim for 3 days...

Stacked tools, supplies and crap on the Scout.

Took the boat out for the first time in 2 years. Got a decent sun burn.

Found out I broke the shifter cable on the scout.

Sorry to hear about your Dad.

I know what you mean, even when they move you it sucks. The movers are packing my stuff right now... time to PCS again.

Welcome back :usa:

As of 20090629 at 0205 the Powerstroke conversion runs :grinpimp: drove it out of the garage yesterday. Just in time for the movers to show up today and start packing.

Went down to the Current River in southern MO. Had a blast on the river boats (18' flat bottom aluminum boats with outboard jet motors). It's pretty damn cool haulin' ass over gravel bars in water only about 3" to 4" deep.

Sunday, I put shocks on the tow rig and last night I put brakes on tow rig.

Friday I spent the afternoon welding up the legs for my A-frame overhead hoist and punching holes it the "Red-Iron" angle iron for my shop. Then spent Sunday and Monday floating the spring river and camping... Man is it a lot nicer and quieter durring the week or at least at the end of the weekend.....

Sorry for your loss Scott.
Been in New Mexico, north east conner. Yes not much out there. Visited a ranch thats been in a relatives family for several generations, it was like I just went back a 100 years with the old rock buildings there grampa built still standing, plus every car and truck they have ever owned, and yes everything else. With the nearest store 70 miles away items just get moved out their junk yard.

Worked. Over the past week I built a cart for my welder and started swapping a '75 Goldwing front end on my '73 cb750.

I still have a bit more to do on the cart, but this is the basics of it.

The goldwing front was a bolt on, but I'll have to do a little wiring to use the wing's idiot lights.

Only two things scout related. First was that the new, taller hysteer arms came in from IHOnlyNorth, so I swapped those on. They cured my interference problem. The other thing was that I destroyed a pitman arm puller trying to get the stock arm off. I need to either: build a puller out of scrap steel, go pick up some oxy/acetylene bottles so I can put some heat on it, split/cut the arm or some combination thereof. In the mean time, I hose it down with kroil whenever I walk by.

Load it up with the puller nice and tight. The wack it few times on the arm right at the splines (I usually use an air chisel with a blunt nosed bit). The arm will practically fly off. Never had one I couldn't get off yet.

That might take a while. I am still gathering parts for the axle swap and the wife is putting the kabosh on the scout fund for a while.

I know it's well past the weekend, but who gives a fawk.... I just got in from dicking around out in the driveway and garage unloading my latest score. sprout4two called me at the crotch of dawn this morning to tell me to get up and go respond to a Craigslist ad. No.... barely shoe-horned it in last night to run the door down. I'm going to have to clean up and straighten up the garage now. :homer:

One of those deals you come across and aren't really prepared for, but just can't pass up.

Sweet welder:smokin: I have the older 250 version without digital readouts. Takes a bit of helmet time to get the hang of it, but once you get over dressing the tip every time you dip it in the weld pool it will go a lot easier on you. I have a H.F mini grinder that is use just for tungsten. I had a hell of a time trying to get good welds at first but 5 minutes with a pro and he had me all set. The big mistakes for me was not holding the tip 50 thousand off the weld pool, and not using a dedicated grinder. good luck!

On cleaning the garage that is:flipoff2:

I hear that if you pull the body off, there's a tube chassis underneath. :flipoff2:

Dude, Sorry for your loss. Here's a  for all of our Dad's with us or not.

Only two things scout related. First was that the new, taller hysteer arms came in from IHOnlyNorth, so I swapped those on. They cured my interference problem. The other thing was that I destroyed a pitman arm puller trying to get the stock arm off. In the mean time, I hose it down with kroil whenever I walk by.

I split the arm most of the way thru method and a puller nice and tight and wacked it. Of course mine was not installed in the Scout yet since I had to piece meal my PS together. Looks like Mech got you on the right path anyway. Same technique works on ball joints, and TRE's as well if you can get something wedged in there nice and tight.

I know it's well past the weekend, but who gives a fawk.... I just got in from dicking around out in the driveway and garage unloading my latest score. sprout4two called me at the crotch of dawn this morning to tell me to get up and go respond to a Craigslist ad. No problem. Next time I won't call you at 7am on your day off. Might be able to get you some tungstens and filler rod next week. Will give you a call. Edit - Nice pic with the welder set on kill at 405 amps. Would like to see your whole house explode and blow the transformer :homer:

It also looks pretty damn cool set on 002 amps.... i guess that would be set on "mildly annoy". :flipoff2:

 for the tungstens and filler. The torch that I have now is a WeldCraft SR-20. All I really know about it is it has a 3/32 collet in it and medium back cap. I missed out on a circ pump on ebay for a homebrew water cooler.

Running mine on city water, but it never gets below freezing in my garage. good thing as that miller coolant is like $20-30 gallon.
