Apollo Pa. Favorite local spot -- Closed--

Well, its official. Apollo is closed to all forms of recreation vehicles.

This includes: All 4wd's
Snowmobiles
Motorcycles
Quadrunners
Mt bicycles
Hikers

Deer hunting with written permission of the landowner only.. Must have the paper with you.

Two local jeepers who didn't know just got cited for tresspass by motor vehicle and Criminal Tresspass.

The reason its closed, Trash, and of course the Murder didn't help much!

I spoke with the landowner and he is very pissed at what has happend to his land. I dont think he will ever let us back in there. But I dont blame him either.

I think maybee we should see if Triangle 4wd can organize a group clean up for him.
We will have to check with him first. He fixed all the gates and is buldozing all the other entrances off.

Just another example of how areas get closed down. Dump trash/ Dump stolen vehicles/ Dump people in caves.

Something similar happened to two popular local spots in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. One was recently closed by the landowner after a child was accidentally killed while trail-riding. Another area, owned mostly by the city, was closed off due to excessive trash and illegal dumping, stolen vehicles being chopped up and abandoned, and teenage kids having drinking parties on the property.

It's a shame how the reckless, thoughtless acts of a few ruin a good thing for the rest of us.
