I'm installing a 2 speed Atlas II on my T18A 4 speed trans using the Advance adaptors Dana 300 adaptor kit. The transfer case mates up to the trans adaptor just fine but the inside atlas shift rod / shift rod button won't clear the side of my T18A trans.

I called AA and searched this site looking for help but came up empty so far.

Right now I'm trying to use the atlas shifter (universal model) with it's original six inch extension rod.

I tried to see if I could move the problem rod to the inside but there is not enough room there either.

Anyone run into this and figure out a solution?
