Pre-run all day quads and bikes start at approx 2pm

Once again Ground Control Racing will be racing the CORE 100 next weekend. We will be racing the old reliable #20 and the new #111 car we just completed.

We need to get some more Rock Racers out there!!

The race will start at dusk and finish approx 9:30-10pm...this will give everyone a reason to use all those lights you have to take off when you normally race.....JT:flipoff2:


Entry fee's are $60 yes $60 and for 2-4 hours of seat time YOU CAN"T BEAT IT!!! The track is great 10 miles..high speed sections of 80+ mph and tons of turns and whoops, probly the most fun I've had racing....great for KOH and Lands End warm-up.

It's not the entry fee, it's the fitting it in the schedule. I'm running Xrra and all the CHCA hill climbs. My wife and kids are ready to pack up right now as it is:shaking: If only i were a bachelor like Jt:smokin:

It's gonna be dusty 90's all week...it's was muddy on sunday but im sure it's drying fast!!!

We got a couple more guys comming out tomorrow but once again the Rock Racer turnout is WEAK. Seriously guys I can't explain to you how fun this race is!!!

Not sure what it takes to get some Rock Racers out there....maybe more $$$ for entry? Maybe make it 5 miles so we get the seat time we are all used too?

$60 entry fee, 100 miles, a couple hours seat time, night racing, BBQ...WTF more will it take to get rock racers interested?:shaking:

I can think of about 10 rigs that are within a 2 hour drive from the event site....where you guys at??? We need to support local racing.

JT, Pickett, Ralph, Jack, Joey, Roger, Brad, Homegrown, John Deer looking XRRA rig, Eric Holder, Boys from Rockware, Weston, I know there is more.

The night race will start at 7:30pm so you have all day to prep.

Also there is a kids ATV/BIKE race it's a great time for the whole family.

I was planning on it but well you saw my acrobatics a couple weeks ago. Car isn't exactly drivable right now. I do plan on going out there, just hope they are open still by the time I get a car going again. Try to finish all the laps this time would ya. :flipoff2: :laughing:

prior ingagement at the fourwheel parts expo wanted to go out there and run but its sitting in the BFG booth next time

It rained right before the race. Some of the desert guys bailed but we had a good field. There were 5 rock buggies in the class. The course was brutal with the rain, mud and darkness vehicles were broken down all over the course.

I started 4th in the rock racer class and was 1st before the end of lap 1. I had a trans cooling issue that we got resolved and the old #20 made it all 100 miles to be the first Rock Racer accross the line. Hell I think only 6 other rigs finished the whole race.

Damian made it about 4 laps in his first race in the #111 GCR racer but a little fueling issue got some mud in the tank and he couldn't get over 3,000 rpm and called it a nite.

I had a great time, swapping paint with the class 1 and 10 cars I felt like Robby Gordon out there. I wish I had an in-car because at times it was F$%KING CRAZY. Even with the HID's at 60mph you were just praying.

Big thanks to the guys from Boulder Crawlers for comming out hope you guys had fun and thanks for the funnel! Hope to see you in Aug.

Also thanks to all our friends and family members who put up with this crazy addiction Damian and I have. For the last three years we have drug you guys all across the country chasing our dream. I know everyone puts up with alot of shit especially from me and none of you guys get paid a dime. We might not say thank you enough but without all you guys (as much as a clusterfawk as it usually is) both rigs would just be sitting in the shop.
