So After some suggestions to get myself a pair of zero rate blocks to lift my sagging rear up an inch, and after some examination of the zero rates I can buy....i've decided to make them myself. I am a machinist and have the material, tools, and machining skills to do it, but my question is this: How long should I make them?
My leaf springs are 3" wide, so I plan on making the blocks 3". The blocks are also exactly 1" thick. From my understanding, they bolt to the leafpack...so I will put the right sized hole in the middle. Only one hole because I am only using this for the added 1" of lift, and not to relocate my axle.
Anyways. Here is a pic of the blocks I could buy for $45+sh, and can make for under $5.
