Planning a trip to slickrock, Sat July 18th. Anyone have any info on the trail. Never been in that area before. Any good camping spots along the trail? other info like trail conditions, distance from lake alpine to lake utica? can you camp close to the lakes in the undeveloped campsites. I know the forest service have become pretty strict in the last few years. anyone going up that way that weekend. I would appreciate any info I can get.

Its a easy trail, which can be done in 1-2 hrs. You can camp in random areas on the trail, there is some camp spots on utica side of the trail. Or you can camp actually by utica lake and drive 1 minute to the trailhead.
