For those of you running 52 Chevy springs in front of a Scout II, how far past the front of the frame is the front spring mounted? I have it measured out and looks like 2 inches...

Mine are about 2" out and down maybe 4". It put the rear eye right under the front support of the body mount.

Regular fucking comedian aren't we! You shouldn't have edited it... :flipoff2:

That's right about where I measured them to be. But I'm starting with a reverse shackle Scout II so I really don't have stock points to measure from. What kind of angle did you run on the shackle being the body mount is right above the rear spring bushing?

I hung mine shackle forward with the front hanger as far forward on the stock frame as possible. The rear ended up where ever it ended up.

I had to chop off the the body mount for the rear hanger -- but it was shot anyway.

IF I did it over I would build a little frame extension and move the front mount out 2-3 inches... OR use 56" springs with the same front mount and use the off set to push things forward.

Yeah yeah. I went back and read your post and it did say you measured it out, you just must not be able to read a tape.:flipoff2:

I had the shackle hanger welded under the frame but i hacked that ugly shit off last week. Now im trying to figure out how to mount them through the frame (read as me being lazy). The body mount support is just gonna have to move.

I think Jeff's scout has a dog leg shackle right in between the body mount. its a frame through with RS and all. ( pic's at work)

I know somebody on the Justih site is running 52", just can't remeber who. Its a yellow or gold scout II
