Kk guys i purchased a new jeep a 1985 cj 7 got it for a very good proce and i knew that the price i was gonna have problems... list of the upgrades done to it and then the problems i have on it..

Chevy 350 swap with a dana300 transfer case and a 4 speed something 420 transmission, dana 60 rear dana 44 front . 4.56 gears front and rear warn locker front and rear. has a MC2150 carb on it.

Kk first off, was drivening it down the road i hit some railroad tracks its started bounceing very badly and wouldnt stop intel i hit the clutch and slowed down when i say it i mean THE WHOLE JEEP. well the back susp...

2nd. when i am drivening the jeep i have it in first gear starting off push on gas hardly switch into 2nd and the back end goes down swearves and then gosh off...

i am assumeing that the 2 could be cause by the lack of sway bars in the front in rear but just want to make sure what you all think before i buy a set and also if so anyone know where i can but a set?? :)

SM420 Good tranny, you will never break it. I wasn't aware warn made lockers. I think you should check into that to see exactly what you have.

What shocks and springs are you running? How much lift? How many leafs? How soft is the suspension? What tires? How much PSI? You may want a sway bar in the front but that should be all you need, not a rear one.

It sounds like you have a really soft suspension setup for rocks and between the lockers and the gearing choices I would say its a very good chance. Post some pics if you can, not poser pics, but pics inparticular of the suspension.

in the front it has a soa setup rear standard 4 inch kit not sure what type i am pretty sure u are right i have a set of rancho shocks for it that i can change the stiffness i turned it all the way up helped a little bit but still not good as i would think it should be and yes it was set up for crawling talked to the guy about it i have 35 inch tires on it currently i am in the army and i purchased it when i was back home i will ask my friend to take some pics of the setup and post them. maybe i am just used the the way my old 87 with 4 inch and 32s with a 4.2 drive was and that why i think its screwy idk but its just seems really soft but as i said i will get pics asap
