I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe LS 4x4 with the: auto,2wd,4wd hi, 4wd lo electric selector switch on the left side of the steering wheel. I am getting ready to do a straight axle conversion and needed to know if disconnecting the front diff solenoid wires; when removing the front axle assembly, if the transfer case will still shift from 2wd to 4wd lo or if this will cause shifting problems in the t-case. Pics are soon to follow as soon as I get some info on this issue. Thanks in advance. JT

Looks like you need to search. If you did any of your homework you would know that your case has autotrac and turns in 2wd. You will need to swap in a 241..Thats all you get. Now search

Thanks for the help, I have not taken off the old transfer case yet and was wondering what the spline count on the transmission output shaft is? Also I believe it is a 4L60E Transmission but I could be mistaken, and if it is a 4L60E will a NP241 Driver side output for the 4L80E work?

Your asking people to do your work for you..
Now if you posted some ideas or directions and asked for feedback or input on it you could easily get some.
Spend a little time searching google on; solid axle swap, half ton to 1 ton solid axle swap, include your trans and t-case on some of them..
A very quick google search landed this and it goes right to the tree your barking up

Post some pics in a thread, find a direction and ask for input along the way
:mr-t:
anyways.. your 4l60 will be 27 spline.. 4l80 is 32 spline
