Just bought a 91 Silver Annivesary Edition Bronco.
The ? I have is what stock springs from like a 250 will fit up front and what lift do they provide and same for rear. I would go measure but guess what! I don't have one to measure.
Good question. 4wd F250s are leaf sprung up front. I dunno if 2wd coils would fit? In any case if you lift it much more than 1.5" you'll need new drop brackets for your TTB pivots.
On the rear springs, you'll find they vary a lot on F250s. Most F250s around the same vintage have identical rear springs to your Bronco, except the bottom most overload leaf is much thicker. Good for heavy loads, bad for flex. But if you look around you'll find F250s (diesels and F350s are better candidates) w/7 leaf packs and other combinations. Still, these will be stiff so you'll want to mix 'n match.
In the end you might be better off to buy an aftermarket add-a-leaf, Rancho's is pretty nice.

I probably should have mentioned that this will probably wind up being my tow rig for my Toy. Heavier springs are what I want, at least in the rear. I have some 35 MTR's that came off my Toy that I want to put on the Bronco. It already has a 3" body and I could probably fit them now but just looking at getting around and 1" or so to be safe. I will probably just put a load spring in the rear but up front would a spacer be fine with the TTB?
Thanks for the input.

A coilspacer will work fine. You should be able to fit one up to about 1.5" before you run out of bolt length to reattach the spring retainer. a 1.5" spacer should give almost 2" lift. You will need to have the frontend alignment reset, though. Going over 2" is when dropped pivots are usually needed.
If you don't mind a stiffer ride, Supercab Longbed F-150 coils might be what you want. They should provide a bit of lift over the ones you have now.

Measure your coil springs in front, both sides, and tell me exactly where you measured from (top and bottom) and the measurements. I'll measure my '91 2WD F-250 coils and see how they compare. Both sides will be slightly different lengths due to uneven loading of the truck.

Front drivers side is 12" and passenger is 11.5". I measured from where the top of the spring seats at the clamp, Bottom at the mid point as they slope down toward the inside. My bronco has a 351 not the 302 as do most Bronco's so it should be closer to the weight of the 250 unless you have a big block in there. As for the ride of the truck goes, A stiffer ride will not matter. I do need the measurements from an F250 rear springs from eye to eye to see if they will fit the bronco. I would just walk up to a truck sitting somewhere but I might get shot so that is out of the question.
The 35" MTR's will fit under ther now but I think they will rub in a hard turn and just want to get it up off the tire a little more and take the weight of my Toy on trailer. The Tahoe is to new to use a tow rig. That's why I need the info on the springs. Thanks for your input. Jeff

Just went outside to measure, damn mosquitoes!
Pass side- 11-1/2"
Driver side- 11"
Regular cab 2wd F-250 w/ a 302.
Rear springs on '80+ F-series trucks and Broncos are all interchangeable, only difference is weight ratings.
Edit- truck has 160K miles of HARD use, former construction truck. Driver's side rear leaf pack has two broken leafs, who knows what they were hauling. Had a 300 (0 oil pressure) but I swapped in the 302 which I already had extra.

I will find me some 250 springs for the rear and just add a leaf to get and inch and put some spacers in the front to do the same. Thanks for the help. I will be at the local pick and pull tomm to see what I can find for the rear. Know of any cheap places to find some spacers? Jeff
