I'll be there. I live about 1.5 hours away. I used to ride there quite a bit. I'll try to gather up some friends to help out.
rockdawgfj40 09-17-2002, 03:48 AM hey i and some friends will be there but one question? do we bring our rigs and do we driving down to the shell to drop stuff off ?:blender:
Dick Hertzer 09-17-2002, 05:31 AM I'll print out some of the flyers and hand them out at the truck show at Quaker Steak and Lube in Columbus. There is usually a pretty good turnout of guys that actually wheel.

Yeah, bring your rigs. A group of 10 can compete for the prize money... that's right... PRIZE MONEY to the group who picks up the most junk.
Drag it down to the Shell, we'll get it in the dumpster, and you can continue on.
Bring as MANY as you can find... there is a lot of work to be done in that area.
TrailKeeper 09-17-2002, 09:12 AM The trash starts in the Shell parking lot, continues up the road to the camping area, then follows all of the major trails. A lot of people were just using their tow rigs to collect trash last year since most of it was so easy to get to.
In other words - even if your rig isn't running, you can still come out and lend a hand.
Even the dune buggies were working overtime last year:

Your Jeep doesn't count unless you decide to put it into the dumpster.

“This would be a gold mine if local officials and landowners got together to create a recreation park,” he said. “They could manage the land so that people aren’t riding off the trail and messing up the area ... this place has great potential.”
If you read the story you would have seen this for them to manage the land they will be closing trails. Keep the goverment out of it I already have to drive 200 miles to get to a good wheeling spot.
