Well this is my first post on the chevy board and it's gonna get me flamed, but I can't get what I need on a search, so here goes. I've got a buddy with a '88 K5 who wants to do a 2" lift and 35" MTR's. How much cutting, and, were are we going to need to cut to make this work? He's real insistent we do a 2" instead of a 4" so that's not an option.

Thanks, Monte

A lot of it will depend on what rim width and how much offset he is running. Is it still 1/2 ton front axle? I ran 35x15.5 tsx's on a 78 Suburban w/15x12 Barts w/only add a leafs in the front. Had to cut the leading and trailing edges of the fenders @ about 45 degrees fron the lower trim line. He will have to trim, but it shouldn't be to bad. He would probably have to trim w/ a 4" lift, too.
