Im having trouble finding a replacement for a D44 Chevy 8 lug hub, in the Sacto area.

Im trying to get the rig ready for the last CalROCS event, and my last oppurtunity to make the top 10, for an invite to the Supercrawll
I need to replace my driver side hub due to the splines being almost completely stripped out.

I anyone has one they are willing to part with at a fair price, I would sure appreciate it.

I promise to mention your name from the winners podium.:D

Im living in the Placerville area, but will pay shipping or find the time and drive and get it.

Thanks,
Jeff

I have an old school external hub if you want to go that route. If you find a drive flange, it would be pretty damn tough. I need a 4.56 D60 carrier and a course spline D60 yoke. Trade maybe?

I already have my inner and outer axle shaft assemblies and spares, set up with high strength Warn shafts and CTM's. I really dont have the cash, or time, to convert to something else with only a couple of weeks to go.
Thanks though!

Im also looking for a set of the thicker D44 19 spline drive slugs.
I have the thinner style that has the easy removal flange. The thicker slugs look like they have nearly twice the contact area at the splines.
The thinner slugs and the fact that I have grenanded 3 Warn premium hubs on the driver side, is no doubt the cause of the hub splines being destroyed.

My rotors, races, studs and bearings are fine, so if anyone just has a lone hub laying around, it would be all that I really need.

As far as I know, internal and external hubs use the same stub shafts.

Sounds like you found what you need anyway.

Good Luck!

The thins one have about 5/8" of splined slug, then they have a flange with a lip, that is designed to easily grab the slug and remove it.
From the pics I have seen, the thick slug is nearly twice that thick, and from I understand there are two holes in the slug that can be grabbed to remove the slug.
In any case it looks like they are about 1 1/4" thick, or more, at the splines.
You would think, that with my baby soft touch, and finess, driving style, that I wouldnt need such overstrengthed parts,....must be a design flaw.:D
