Borrow your girlfriend's 6 inch high heels. Put them on, then run up and down a flight of steps. Then run from one end of your driveway to the other in a sharp zig zag pattern. Let me know if you fall down but don't tell me, write the answer down and think about it.

BillaVista

do you think it will make an awsome rock crawler

No!!

Way too tall, too narrow, WAy too shiny....shows absouloutely no sighns of ever having been wheeled in the rocks. No, you don't have to wheel a pig barn like me for it to be a good rock crawler...but any "awesome rock crawler" would have to have been tested and therefore bashed...and nobody does as much bodywork as would be required to take this from rock crawler to this state just to sell it. It doesn't smell right at all.

Let's count the lies and ridiculous statements:

The guy says it goes anywhere

Suuuuure it does...they all say that. I'd be more impressed if he was honest about its capabilities.

and handles like a dream on road.

No fawkin way it does...that's a lie

He said he has had all the suspension set up for serious rock work

Ummmmm, no I don't think so

He done the IFS swap him self without a welder it just bolts on he said

That's ridiculous

The front springs he said are set up so well that he didn't need shocks

Ok, if you hadn;t got your mind made up by now.....sure, some trail only rigs don;t run shocks....but if you think for a second that thing "handles like a dream" on the road with no front shocks you're in serious trouble!

Have you driven it?????????

He said he bought the cross over steering from the U.S and its one of the best buys on the market.

Why the hell would a guy genious enough to design and install a no-weld IFS conversion need to buy a dirt simple cross over steering system all the way from the US huh??

Sweet Jesus - if the alarm bells aren't ringing by now - you may as well buy it and learn the hard way!!

With RUFF having a 414 post count and having been registered for almost a year, this thread has got to be a joke. ...If not I'm sure RUFF would have been butt-reamed and run away sore long ago.

Wow, the SAS / steering must have been done quite a while ago, I can't imadgine anybody installing a "best buy on the market" Allpro low-steer xover since their hi-steer is just a few bucks more,

lemmie guess... the dent in the sill is just about the same hight as the farthest protruding part of a shopping cart...:flipoff2:

Actually RUFF, if this is for real and the price is right you should buy it. Take it to a rock garden and wheel the piss out of it (I'm sure it can handle it,) and TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES, I wanna see what happens!!!

Yeah dude, I'm gonna get this bitchin' paint job next week (with flames and stuff)...the pathy will flex sooo much better after that. Then I'm going to have a few dents pounded out...I can't wait for the gain in traction from that! woo hoo, i'm stoked as you can tell!

don't get me wrong, i do like good looking rigs, though, I wish you were actually serious...it'd be funnier that way.

I don’t think you get the road worthy for it and even if you did with the big lift and bright colour springs ect the local police will pull over the pits and make you put it back to standard.
Also I can’t see any need for all the lift and only 33-inch tyres.

Im sorry, but if this guy said that the rig has been hittin the rocks, id like to see the trail for myself. Perhaps take a dodge neon over it. :D The fella had a good idea, but his worth as a fabricator is nill. For one, if the front springs are stiff enough not to bounce, then thoes coils in the rear will be far too soft to allo/force the front to do anything. The front fabrication will hold up to minor trail runs, perhaps mud. The fact that its ALL bolt on worries me. Bolts are over rated. Welds last and last. The rear suspension is nuts. I dont know what the hell he was thinking when he bolted it all together. First, the upper armature linkages are very weak. The stresses of crawling will snap them like twigs.

If you want the truck just for the looks, then go ahead and get it if the price is decent. But it will require you to completely reconstruct the entire trucks suspension, and possably renforce the frame if you plan to take anything more than a bumpy dirt trail..

Well i think im just gunna buy it cause this guy built it himself and i dont beleive he is bullshiting me cause he looks real smart and stuff. He said he has looked at what guys in the U.S. are driving and it aint nothing compared to what he has put this thing through. I asked him if it needed lockers and he said it flexes that much that he didnt need lockers and that they are not as good as everyone reckons anyway.

So im going back this weekend to offer him $19 500-00 for it and if he will take it then its mine. He is asking $21 000-00 for it at the moment and says that a lot of guys want it but he is keeping it till i decide what i am doing cause he thought i would wheel it where its built to wheel and the other guys are just looking for a posser rig.

Is everyone else as amazed as I am. I wish I lived across the pond so I could have been in a bidding war with RUFF that is the SHIAT.

By the way you found out he was full of shit with the shocks, if you had lockers you wouldn't have needed the beef to hold you down, and soon you will figure out you just got assed out of your hard earned money :D

By the way here is a good American X-over steering does yours look better?
