hey. right now i have 3.73 gears on my Wagoneer D44 axles. i believe that in order to upgrade to 4.56, i need to get me new carriers.

however, i was told that you can put thick 4.56 gears on my current carriers and that would work just as well.

so, do you know if its as simple as that??

Yeah, simple as that. That's what the thick set is for. I actually had both a high and low gear carrier sitting around. Found a great deal on the thick gears, and used the high gear carrier. Made my money back on the low gear carrier. The extra cost of the thick gears usually kind of offsets the carrier cost though, unless you're talking about needing a new ARB or something.
