I just installed a bronze/olite pilot bushing from Advance Adapters into my reman 4.0 so that I can install my AX-15.

But the inner diameter of the bushing is too small to install the bearing. Is it okay to run just the bushing with no bearing? AA said this was the correct part and the inner diameter of the bushing is the correct size for the input shaft of the tranny.

the oilite bushing is all there is. NO bearing goes inside. the bushing is the surface that the shaft rides in. good to go!

Did you soak the bushing in oil for a while before install?
