What are you guys using for insurance on your trail rigs / compatition rigs?
I have been calling around checking on it and no one will cover my rig, even if I drive it to the trail. Once I hit the dirt it is no longer covered. It would be nice to have some insurance incase someone riding with you gets hurt in a roll over, or some fool is standing in a stupid spot when you roll it over and run in to them. Then that fool thinks its your fault that he was standing in a stupid place!
Any thoughts.

Do a search. this question has been asked and answered a few times.

I beleave State Farm doesnt give a damn where you drive your rig... Also, I called Progressive for a quote and asked them if there was insurance for my off-road only rigs that I trailer to the trail. He said NO, I would have to buy normal insurance, So I assume they dont care where you drive either.

Every policy I read for a company rated for California excluded any acts of competion or organized offroad events. The wording is a little lose but basicly says:

1. no competion rig has coverage
2. Jeepers Jamboree, Sierra Trek type events aren't covered
3. if you leave home with the intent of going wheeling your not covered.

4. if you leave home on they way to the store and find yourself offroad, your covered. Like a tree was down on the road and you went around it and then got stuck in a ditch.

*** rule # 1 *** What's a road ? Rubicon ? Forrest Service calls it a road or at least a route. Might work.
