: Running Hummer Rims on D60 front--how do you protect the hub?

I am planning on running hummer rims on my front 60 to try and narrow my width a bit, but am concerned about the hubs sticking out too far and bashing them on the rocks.

Originally I was going to run 15" x 12" rims with 4" back spacing with the 44 Swampers, but after watching the Neuroc cone placement figured out I was going to be real close to being too wide to fit thru any of the cones.

I found a guy who will buy my 15" rims and tires so I can buy the 16.5" tires(already have the hummer rims.)

What do you guys do to keep from taking out your hubs on the rocks and trees, or do I just have to be VERY careful.

Dually hubs - cheap and easy too.

Interested in the Rockstomper protectors, didn't see them on the web site. Anyone have pics and prices?

the more I think about it, I'm not 100% sure those hubs covers were Rockstomper. I'm 99% sure they are (I saw them in a trade rag.)

I'm not 100% today. I just spent 3 hours computing the dead load on a girder only to find the dead loads tabulated right in front of me on the plan sheet. oh, well at least the numbers were the same..
