Anything specific you looking for?
Action shots? Scenic shots? Panoramics? Pictures of people cleaning and bags of trash filled with cigarette butts and cans?

I have all the above, but don't want to send you 10MB worth of an email...

People have always congregated around the box. My first time through in '89 was in a stock mb (except the house paint:D). There was a bunch of people there hanging out having a good time.

Thanks for the pics everybody, but seriously, Travis, next time I don't need to see old pics of you wearing your wife's shorts...this is a family website!

In all seriousness, Thanks everybody for the pics! Keep em coming.

Wow!! There's some great pics in this thread.
Can't believe it's been 3 years since we ran it all the way through.
I'm all for saving LS and letting those with capable rigs challenge themselves on it.

I'm amazed at how many big rocks have been pulled off the wall over the years by asshats.:shaking:

Yes...but it was VERY VERY different back in the 70's and 80's. People didn't stay there all day....and people didn't camp there much either. When you went through the little sluice (it wasn't called The Box), you might have 5 or 6 people (who just went or are about to go through) stay to watch you go through.

Then they left! A few people would camp at Spider....but mostly fishermen.

When the big rocks came....the crowds came....then the problems came.

Just saying what the difference...cause I've been going through it since 1978.

yes indeed-i have similar pics of little sluice in the early 80's. 1st trip to the con was memorial day 1977. a friend is scanning some old pics for me-including the payphone attached to a tree with a AAA towing sign above it at the beginning of the big sluice as soon as you turn to the left and start down it. he should be able to post up some of my old pics in the next 2 weeks. great pics sluicebox!!!!!
