I'm working on a tire carrier for my rear bumper. I want to make it work for most bolt patterns people are likely to have even if they have done axle swaps.

Is anything other than 5 on 5.5" and 6 on 5.5" likely to be on a Sammi?

Also, if you have any comments about things you like, dislike or would like to see on a bumper mounted tire carrier, I'm all ears.

IMO, those two patterns should cover 90%.........

Just an idea but look into a bed mount carrier, bumper mounts nice untill you find that your departure angle isnt what you thought and you tear it off. I have seen bumpers and tailgates ripped from the frame cause the tire loves to grabb shiat.

More like 98% on a Sami!... Covers Suzuki, Toy, 1/2 ton Chevy, 1/2 ton Ford, CJ, etc....

The only thing left out is, 8 lug 1 ton, and new Heap 5 on 4 1/2 (aka trailer spares), Mog...

Oh and, Sorry 350Samurai, Rockwell pattern will have to be special order.. :)

here is a list of crap i have added on the tire carrier on my last swingout...

-hooks for wraping hose, (i carried 20' long before i had oba on my jeep)
-an angled 1" tube somewhere to leave clevises outside.
-spots for bolt on 3'-4' lengths of misc. angle flat stock.
- high lift mount
- tab for mounting larger tractor light (backup/aux.)
- 1" tube "stub" to mount universal clamp on antenea, allows for various angles/removal etc...
-center of tire was a 2" reciever hitch. I carried a 4" vise there that could be used anywhere...and doubles as a small cooler holder
- spot to wrap strap...
- my bumper was an air tank also....

note i dont carry all of this anymore do to weight/space...
