I remembered seeing something about them using a smaller u-joiunt more towards a 44. Am I remembering correctly? I tried the search and didn't come up with a good answer..

Also, what are they worth?

I run a Kaiser Dana 60 front and i am very pleased. It is not as strong as say a chevy 60 , mine has 31 spline, but you can upgrade to 35 spline outers for liek $50, but what i like about it is that it is cheap $$$$, to replace axles, since it is military. From a surplus store my replacement axles are as cheap as $8. I like the closed knuckle becasue it protects the u-joint from dirt, mud, etc.

do the closed knuckle 60s have drum brakes as well? just askin Im not sure, their is a local guy here with a Kaiser that has that front axle, he runs a mid engine arrangement on a mud truck with ag tires, seems to stay together, course mud is on throttle off throttle then steer, so probably not a good example. I give ya dollar for it. :flipoff2:

Drum Brakes. These stay together better than most expect. Brand new replacement axles +/- $50.00
