So I pick this 95 hardy body truck up around a year ago with a ton of plans for it. I manage to get it home and take a few photos of the trashed suspension and put it in the shop where its going to sit until I can get to it. Its hard to find spare time with a full time job, family, and running a part time performance buisness. Here it goes!

Plate the frame from the cab to the steering box on both rails and gusset the hell out of that track bar link.

Looks good so far. Looks familar. What are you building? 3 link? If you are you dont need the track bar that far forward.

Thanks for the advise, Ill make templates for the frame plates and get those cut and welded to the frame. I placed the track bar mount a little bit foward in hopes to run the 3rd upper arm off of the pass side to the axle using some ballistic fab brackets. If this works like I hope the track bar has to sit a little foward to make room for the 3rd link bracket, like the ballistic fab toyota truggy just not as radical.

front end build plans:
3 link, 12" coilovers, on 36x13.50x15 Iroks.
Im not planning on this being a street truck when done so the sway bar will stay off.

Didnt get a whole lot done this weekend with the kiddo's b-day and family in town, but here are a few more pics of what I did do.
I removed the exhaust that is in the path of the drive shaft, pulled the torsion bars out and did some frame cleaning. Also orderd two ballistic fab 12" coilovers and two coilover/link mounts.

removed the lower control arm bracket and pluged holes in the frame.

Cleaned the frame rail, preping for plating for more support. also cleaned the axle up for the new link brackets.

Picked up one tire for mock up. Got to love C.L., one tire the size I wanted (36x13.50x15) for 150.00 *new* with 0 miles on it. Now all I need is some daytona 6 lug rims and three more tires.

Update:

Got my coilover shock hoops, lower link / coilover brackets, 3/16 frame plates, and two 15x10 6 lug rims in!
Still waiting on the steering kit, coilovers, and one more super swamper to show up at the front door.

Had frame plates made and cut by Water Jet. (Crappy photo but the quality of work was perfect!)

And the driver side.

After followoing some great advise I rounded the ends of the plate, left about two inches of the ends un-welded, and put in place. I just hope I did it right.

After waiting a month for parts to get here I can now work on the truck a little more.

Set the tires on the rear to get an idea of new look.

I got two ballastic fab 14 inch coilovers and the 3/4" steering kit. Im still not sure on the spring rates or the lengths needed for the dual rate setup so those can wait for now.

Im going to cut out some gusset patterns and have some 3/16 gussets cut by water jet to weld to the bottom and back sides of the hoops to help keep them attached to the frame.
