So I have a few questions here. I bought a 94 yj from a friend. When he owned it he bought a cj7 hard top and full doors. I have always thought the cj7 hard top and fulls doors where a basic bolt on am i wrong. He said he tried putting them on and they didnt fit. Also if they do fit where can i get a seal kit for the top and doors. Also he replaced the rear glass with a plexi piece and it looks and functions terrible. He also removed the outer shell that you put the glass in. Anyone know where I can get that piece. Does anyone have a pic of what the rear is supposed to look like. Thanks for your help sorry if this is a flame waiting to happen I searched and couldnt really find what I was looking for. Thought id ask some of you jeep guru's
It's summertime dude, toss that top and doors in the backyard!
I have an '88 YJ tub and my '77 CJ doors bolted right on, just make sure you have the correct latches for the doors you are using.
seal kit, any jeep resto place.
back window liftgate, look around where you live for a used one, I dont trust the quality of an aftermarket new one. My original '77 back window liftgate is steel, if the aftermarket is steel too, it's most likely from Tiawan and will rot out inside of five years.

Put a YJ top on my CJ, it all bolts on, cept the rear gate latch. need to do some trimming for the liftgate to close. going from a cj to a yj there should be no probs. some factory liftgates on cjs were steel some were fiberglass.

Im not putting it on now I just want to get it ready for winter while its sitting there. In oregon it rains like a mofo so I work hard with the 3 months of somewhat dry weather to get it to go through another winter...thanks for the info...more suggestions on the aftermarket hatch....please

Well I got mine made in fiberglass from Quatra tech. $400. You can not get them in Steel and if you did it would rust to hell. The CJ top fits if you trim the inside front corners to fit the windshield support bars.
