A buddy needs to mount 2 tc pumps on his 392. Does anyone make a tc pump bracket for IH engines or will it have to be fabbed.

What is tc?

It is a 'model' of saginaw power steering pump. You probably have a "P" pump, while newish GM stuff came with "TC" pumps....

I see. Thanks.
Most stock stuff is cast iron. After market bracket here (http://www.ihonly.com/httpdocs/Parts/Power%20Steering/power_steering.htm) Might work for you.

Since most of us don't have a pile of cash just waiting to be burned on a custom auxiliary PS brackets, we would get something from the JY and make it work. :homer: Since its not going in the stock location maybe a A/C bracket could be used.

I figured we would have to fab up something. However, Howe Performance makes a cool dual pump setup where the pumps face each other and use the same pulley. May try to start with that. A quick glance at one of those from IHonly may be a possibility.

Interesting. Got a pic?
I thought P.S. pumps were designed to turn in one direction. Being Howe They might make these pumps too. But Scouts don't have a lot of extra room up front either.

I don't have a pic but if you look at their catalog on the web:

http://www.howeperformance.com/pdfs/catalog-rockcrawling.pdf

There is a picture of it at the bottom of page five. However, my buddy called and talked to them today to get more information. According to George at Howe they are not offering this product. Apparently it didn't survive the R&D. I wouldn't have thought they would put it in their catalog if it didn't pass R&D but maybe they had a lot of complaints from customers. Too bad.

Yes. He will have hydro front and rear steer and hydroboost brakes. POS steering set him up with everything.

Would not be the first time marketing took pic's of product that don't exist.

I know my pump which is running HB brakes and steering ram would stall the pump, I had the belt on wrong.:shaking: It now only goes to the crank and pump and you need it tight. Running two pumps I would think you would need a dual belt to keep it from slipping/stalling. Might be why they pulled the product.
Nice thing about the IH is you have lots of options with belts. He could get the power steering pump that has the smog pump bracket attached and then mount the second pump there and run the belt on the inner water pump pulley.

here's where I mounted a second alternator
