When I needed column parts for my 74, I bought the same year GM parts and used my Dad's of 73 Chevy shop manual to correctly install it. I needed a new key switch, not the tumbler, but the switch on the column. If memory serves it was bolt on, but I had to trim the IH plug. For some reason it had a empty pin slot that didn't jive with the new GM, so I cut it off.
