I'm looking into information on a salvaged truck in the paper it was a front end wreck that has been repaired and need paint and grill lights and bumper reinstalled. it is a 4x4 with a 6 cyl and 5spd 89k miles. all the paint and parts included for $4000 with a salvage title.

what 6 would this be and what differencial ratio would be possible.

also any one have experience with salvage trucks every thing in me says deal , and problem at the same time.

i don't know fords that well would this be an ifs our truck at work is ttb but it's a f-250 thanks for any help

It will be a 300 cid. Ratio? probably 3.50.

Salvage title is not going to get full coverage from the insurence company since it's been totaled once. Look it over VERY carefully for how well it's been repaired.

It'll be a TTB front end. 6 cyl means it's a EFI 300 straight 6, good torque. Gearing is probably 3.55 but mine came with the optional 4.10.

The 300 I-6 is a sweet crawler motor it may not have a lot of hp at 132hp but it has 250torque at about 1700-1800rpm and it is one of the best motors ford made and they can get up to about 300k to 400k miles it may not get great mpg after that many miles but it will still run! For the gears prob 3.55
