I am looking at running either an OX or ARBs in my Flatty. Has anyone run an Ox with a shaved pumpkin? If so did you shave your Ox too :D ? It seems to me there is enough mat'l there to not affect overall strength to much, but I don't have one in front of me. I have asked this question in related posts without much success.
2nd question. Has anyone run the Ox super joint? I did a search and found a thread from May but noone had ran super joint at that time. I know CTMs rule, but I am curious how well the design of the super joints hold up.

Why in the world would you have to shave the OX? Are you going for no ring gear? Anyways I wouldnt mess with the OX, people are having problems engaging them as is.
As for the U-joint they are coming out next week or atleast thats what they have been saying for 5 months.:flipoff2:

yeah because added ground clearance is only good if you have little tires.... :rolleyes:
I say shave it and don't worry the OX cover has enough beef to hold up even if you trim a little off the bottom.

I know they aren't released yet, but I thought maybe somebody had a test set or something...........
When I called, they wouldn't even tell me how much the joints were going to cost:rolleyes:

First of all, WTF are you talking about w/ no ring gear?
Second, everyone that I know that has an OX engages it with no problems.
As for shaving OX cover, you could do it.
