One thing that had always bothered me about automatically locking hubs was the way, if you went in reverse, they could disengage.
That's why I always liked manually locking hubs. Once you get out and lock them, they're locked. Period.

So I'm wondering something...

On the wrangler rubicon, in what manner are the hubs locked?

I know that it has air lockers in the front and rear to lock the differentials but how are the HUBS locked?

They, like every jeep made since the death of the CJ have no selectable hubs. They're always "engaged".

But do they stay engaged regardless of which direction you're traveling or do they unlock and relock each time you change directions?

there ummm is no disengagement. Ever. Think slugs, but without the ability to put selectable hubs in ever, manual OR automatic.

The only time they unlock is if they're broken.

For such a fancy sig line, you sure do exude a high "derrrrrrrrr" factor.

TJ's (wether it's an SE, X, Sport, Sahara or Rubicon) do not have selectable hubs ... as the other dudes already pointed out.

I just wanted to take the oppurtunity to say to you, "derrrrrrrrrrrr."
