The buggy in the first pic is from a local guy. Owns a company called flinstone 4x4. Used to drive a black and green bronco with flames on the hood.

0815 did make some more forward progress, but then backed all the way out and took a line about 8" to his left. This tipped the rig the other way and was the line to take. Walker & I were able to crawl right up this without stopping. Several rigs including 0784 and Chris Durham were tossed on their sides in this deep V notch.

Broken parts on the mog axle started with a bolt holding one of the lower links. The bolt bent about 90 degrees and then the rod end failed. Once the link failed the axle rotated under the rig and the pinion broke off the diff. Several seconds later the left side rear steer arm failed and the left rear wheel just started flopping around wherever it wanted to go. Lots of carnage on that rig.

Over all I gota say there was very little rig damage, and no full roll overs, at least that I was. Bob Hazel was right on time and had all the courses going like clock work. No long waits before runs. Not like RRCA where they seem to be going for the most roll overs possible.

Those are one version of the Krawlers in those 1st 2 pics, right? Any more rumor if that's closer to the "final" version? Personally, I like the look of that a lot better than the snake pattern.

TEX I personally like the "snake" verson better. It looks more aggressive. I like the new version 2 but the "snake " takes the cake:D Just my.02

See, to me it looks like the outer lugs are too close together on the "snake" version. Guess the mudder in me is showing through, but I think this version would bite down harder in the slop. The "snake" version could very well have more forward grip in the rocks though.

We left before the event finished. Never had a problem with the payout before. I have no doubt he will send a check as soon as he has time to get it in the mail.
