by my unexpert opinion, i would say early vintage mog. but i am by no means an expert or even mildly educated in european axle identification!!

Those are 3 peice housing Mog axles. They come from a deisel Mog. They are newer than 404 axles. They look kind of rough, but if you want some Mog axles they are a very good axle(the same type that I am putting in my buggy which is going to run 53" tires). They are quite a bit stronger than 404 mog axles, or 2.5 ton Rockwell axles. They are VERY strong. They have somewhere between a 7.50:1-6:50:1 final ratio depending on which model of Mog that they came from.

that is good to hear. My guess was u1300l, but i'm no expert. they are very rough, but I can work with them i hope.

I sure hope that you are getting them dirt cheap if you are planning on running them. There are ALLOT of things that can be wrong with those axles. Even if the U-joints are bad in the fron axle that would be $700($350 for each U-joint) to replace. There are allot of seals and bearings in those things as well.

As long as you keep good maintenance on the Mog axles, and use them regularly thay should last darn near forever with almost nothing wrong with them; but they sure dont like to sit in the dirt.

As to what model that they came from, I dont thing that they came from a U-1300 because they have drum brakes. I think most U-1300's came with disk brakes. I would say that they are off of a 406, because that is what there are most of(of the deisel variety) in the United States.
