Here are a couple of Alaska Wheeling pictures. One of the hard trails up here. I just got the pictures developed lol. Very nasty trail, and it was DRY! I will have more later on and will post those also. Enjoy The black Cj-5 is mine, and the other one is my brothers... The Hicks Lake is about 12 miles back in the middle of no where, and is about 55 miles from the nearest town.

I like the pics. So how do you like the 37in boggers? I went wheelin with a crew a few weeks ago, and was not impressed. I am currently running 36in TSLs bias and they seemed to clean better.I am sure it was the mud since it was clay goo.Looks fun though, and let me know what you think.

I will not go to another tire I dont think:D I really like them. These are my first set of bogger, and they are doing good. But, as for slick hills and so on, my brothers 38x11 will get it. They are a real nice tire. But, if I go to another tire it will be the 39.5. But, as for now the 37"ers work great for us. Might have been just the mud. The mud up here is just like swamp mud. Real easy to clean. Except on that run. Had silt in it, so it was kinda like a clay mud. But, I like them:)

TSLs and SXs clean better at low-to-medium tire speeds. Boggers really only truly come alive in clay when you get pissed off, abandon subtlety, and just plant the pedal on the floor. Then they'll beat a TSL in any type of mud. You need motor to make Boggers really work...

...Unless you cut all the little lugs out of the boggers. Then they work good ANY time. A buddy has a little buggy-type CJ with lil' 33" Boggers (cut rears), no lift, welded rear, and an exo on it. I've never seen the rear tires actually loaded up into a drag slick like all tires usually do when you try to crawl through clay-ish mud. When it sticks in a mudhole, it's because the non-lifted truck is grounded on the diffs or crossmember, not because the tires don't have enough bite.

What part of Alaska are you in? I was in Anchorage for 3 years and never heard of Hicks Lake. Alaska is a Wheelers dream come true, I sure do miss it.

Not true... with the right gearing, my 22RE could clean out my 35x16's in the nasty stuff just fine :p
