Ok guys, for all of you that have been around a while....i bought Robs scout. I've been busy trying to make it mine so to say. The one question i have is........I have a PSC(saginaw style) steering pump, whats the easiest way(custom bracket or oem something) to mount it as low as possible to the block? its still kinda dirty up front, so i havent really inspected the block. looked at my 304 in my 76...its on the head. i would really like it to be way down on the block so i can stay well below the resevoir. thanks guys

I don't think I have any good pictures handy, but the pump on my 1980 345 scout w/AC has the pump down just above the steering box, couldn't go much lower. The air pump was on top of it. You can kind of see it in these pictures.

No idea on what this is, google images found it. I'd assume a 196 in a sii.

You didn't mention what pump you had, but if you are looking for stock pump brackets, you are only going to find them for P-pumps.
You can get an astro style can for them so that you can run a big remote reservoir if you need to (i hear that's what the cool kids do).
edot: just noticed 196, so that's a no go on a v8 sourced mount IIRC.
It's not that hard to build accy mounts once you commit to it. I built every mount on the 460. york, 2 big frame ford alts, and a sagi-p.

The 192 in the SII and the 152 in my 80 at least are mounted differently. (The 800s may or may not have been mounted the same.) In the SII the engine is mounted "straight up" as in oil pan level. The power steering pump is partly mounted to the engine mount. Since none of the four cylinder 80/800s were built with PS (that I know of) you'll have to make your own bracketry. I'd searched a few IH specific websites and found 3 or 4 pictures, no two were the same.
Here are some shitty pictures.

Here's a small discussion on my power steering conversion.

There's not much room/mounting options on the 152 in an 80. I made simple brackets off the waterpump. Added a second pulley to run off the waterpump. Worked pretty well, until I did the engine swap.
Threaded the 2 holes on the water pump all the way through the boss on the engine block/engine block and the adjustment bracket off the waterpump. I used some B7 allthread for studs.
Here's a few pics of what I did:

Honestly I don't remember how low it sat, but I had one of the stock mounts on my 196. Got it from a buddy when I converted to power steering, it was tough to find.

I wouldn't put the resevoir in the cab.
