: Just finished running Fordyce and the CON in 12hrs
Last year, my freind Mike and myself ran Fordyce and then decided to hit the con. We did that run in a little over 24 hrs ( we thought that was pretty good) . After that run we decided to do it again this year. Well this year we set our goal at 18 hrs for both trails. We shattered our goal. We did both trails back to back non-stop in 12 hours and 33 minutes. We used a stop watch and started it at the stagging area on Fordyce and stopped it at the loon dam. So total time included fueling up, travel time between trails, and repairs. We started at the stagging area off eagle lakes at 6:30am and ended up at Meadow lake ( we ran Fordyce in 4 1/2 hours ) then we headed to Tahoe to fuel up and make minor repairs to the rigs. We ended up at Loon lake dam at 7:00pm. We could have made better time , but we ran into heavy traffic on big sluice, ran into some people we knew and had to chat, ect.ect.ect.
Anyway others wanted to know our times when we got back so here they are..
Rerard 09-14-2002, 10:09 PM Cool :)

.....it connects via freeway......... Well you could go 89 to Truckee then to North Shore/Tahoe City without using a freeway. About 40 minutes of driving or less.
Not my style but kudos for the effort.

Paul, YOU MISSED OUT MAN, the trip was awesome. You should have come. anyway all we broke was minor stuff .
Mikes rig broke a muffler hanger so the exhaust was almost dragging, he also broke a rear shock mount, and his PS box came seriously loose.
I really didn't break anything on my rig except my interior and tail lights stay on all the time now and my coil wire came off.
Other than that it was goodtimes..
NOODLES 09-15-2002, 06:06 PM that is slow. I made it through from 80 and elkhorn at 12:30 in the afternoon went in loon came out tahoe and back to rio linda by midnight. with 1 locker and 33" swampers last year.got back and freind was askin if i was still going wheelin. if it wasn't fast enough for you it was same weekend as jeepers jamboree. while on trail replaced both motor mounts at rubicon springs. that was scary only toyota driver amongst all these evil fat jeepers.

You know you truly are an idiot. Just because I only have like 40 posts I'm a Dumb NEWBIE . You don't even know who I am or what I wheel. I really can't stand judgemental people like you and your opinions . Yes, when people are NEW they ask some stupid questions sometimes and yes I agree that there are other boards for those types of questions to be answered on. I may not have all of the knowledge, but I am far from being a NEWBIE to this sport that is looking to gain respect from you...Damn, why do you have to talk crap like that, It's you that is looking for the respect...People who know me and wheel with me know what I'm about. But you know what really burns me, I did a search under your username and you know what I found, you post like 98% in the chit chat forum. I'm not saying thats bad, but if your going to use the excuse that NEWBIES should find another BB because this is a HARDCORE wheeling site maybe you should just stay in Chit/Chat and out of the TECH and General 4X sections. Oh, and then you could use the excuse, well I've been here longer and have more posts so I must know more. Do a search under Chopperman, thats what my username used to be until my E-mail got all jacked up and I lost my password. So I figured no big deal, I'll just re-register under a new username, because I really didn't care about how many posts I had and it's easier to identify myself to people I meet on the trail anyway.
As far as you saying I'm probably the guy who hit Tydes' rig. Tydes lives in Oregon ( get a clue ). So anyway, maybe with this being said you might lighten up a bit.
And please if you're going to respond back. Don't hack my post up into little bits and comment on one sentence so you can turn it all upside down. Respond with the whole post so others can really see the whole picture

Hmm I didn't feel the need to read that waive of bullshit. I don't care about your post count, I dont care about you, I dont care a bout your rig, get the point? I was givin you a bad time, I wasnt "dissin" you. This is the pirate board, you know you can and will get eaten alive. Take a joke, sit down, and chill out. :flipoff2:
Booger Weldz 09-16-2002, 08:42 AM okay rj, do it again, this time well invite JASON R and see if he can keep up and if his rig can stay together.
whats wrong with a marathon run, a personal test of guy and his rig.
if you dont like it go lurk on someother post and chime in there when you want to be a dick...
its not bs. ive wheeled with mike and rj, far from NEWBIES and always willing to help out others on the trail in a time of need.
when the fawk did your post count on a WEBPAGE have anything to do with your ability to perform in this hobby. WEAK!
jeez, cant a guy share his wheelin trips anymore without some asshole who thinks hes bigger, better, fawkin up an innocent post...

Well said BW...These little children need to step out from behind the key-board and into the real world...I'd like to see those comments face to face. Of course that would never happen because guy's that feel the need to make comments like that on the internet are usually the first to run and hide when confronted face to face...
Again...
Personally I think marathon runs are gonna' be a big trend in the next few years...Hell they already are...Remember the 24 hours of the Hammers? Brutal! No gates, no flags, no judges...Only you, your spotter and a stopwatch...Talk about gettin' it!

Jason R 09-16-2002, 09:09 AM I told him I was just messin...should be good enough for him. :flipoff2:
Thats pretty cool, I wish i could have gone but ive been busy with school and i have no money:( Dont listen to JasonR, hes just a little spoiled rich kid:flipoff2:
Sillyneck 09-16-2002, 10:57 AM that's good time :D if my junk was street legal again I'd love to do it. I did rubicon on an "off" weekend from loon to tahoe in just over 6 hrs. that was the 36's and skinny pedal days just after I put the 5.0 in :D that was a fawkin blast. I'm going to run in on my dirt bike hopefully in 2 hrs. maybe a lot less :D
1) anyone who thinks this is BS is retarded and has never done it.
2) why the hell would anyone post something about a quick time and lie about it? would people think he's extra cool for going fast on a crawl trail. think people!

LMAO.... Other places are finally catching on.
Try TTC. anywhere from 24-36 hours of running non stop no sleep. Not just wheeling, but rallye style as well... where you gotta think when you half asleep, etc.
Of course, once your half asleep and worn out, they pull you out of your rig and make you do things like run. The bastids. LOL
TTC - if my team takes me as navigator/spotter again. I'm all over it. Just gonna go running and weight lifting to build myself for the next round.
