OK Teams, here is some of the skinny....

Tech and Registration will be Friday August 28th (times and location TBA)
(waiting on word from Tom after a meeting tonight)

The entry form for the event will be up on www.werocklive.com within a day or two

We need a list of who is coming, so get those entries into us....

Who qualifies:

Kurt Shramovich - last year's Cooper Tire All Stock Nationals Champion
Top 5 W.E.ROCK East series
Top 5 W.E.ROCK West series
5 W.E.ROCK WildCards (to be given to W.E.ROCK stock mod teams only)
Top 3 from each regional series
3 wildcards given to each regional series (to be given to their competing teams only)

No team (driver and/or spotter) may compete in both the All Stock Nationals AND the Grand Nationals...if any team qualifies for both, they must choose one.

And to keep things clear...qualifications only go to Stock Mod teams or the regional equivalent of our stock mod class. Don't anyone get any funny ideas ;)

So when you say regional series, which series are you refering to? Also, their were only 7 total We-Rock series teams. Where do the 5 wild card competitors come from? What is the total number of entries that are allowed?
As far as regional series go you take the top three finishers and then 3 more from each series, so basically the top 6? thanks for response.

Not an official response but the reginal series that qualify I believe are Carolina Crawling, RC rocks, MErock, Cal Rocks and RROCK.
So all of the WE-rock competitors should have an invite and each regional series also has 6 bids into the big dance... Wild Card competitors usually come from someone that the sponsor wants in or a team that we-rock feels would be a benefit to the event for one reason or another. 90% of the time I'd say those aren't used though. You terhune and digger will all qualify from WE-rock even thought you also run RROCK the bigger series takes precedent.

I am not running RROCK. Mike DeVore is running RROCK in our 890 car. If he qualifys for ASN via a spot in RROCK we may just have to work a little harder to get the 891 car done by the end of August rather than spring of 2010.:D

In Grand Nationals, you cannot run two classes...this is a similar thing. Chose a class you qualify for and run it, let others take the spots in the other classes.

Are the regional teams required to run window nets? That was the only thing I could see being tough to change if you haven't got them ordered yet since it takes about a week or more to custom make one.

Kinda shady, but...

as far as I can tell, you're allowed to fail tech on a few 'non critical' items ONCE, and get to run for the weekend, but at the next event, the shit list has to be fixed...

so... if you've never run with the car in WeRock yet... you could probably work it out...

but I wouldnt drive all the way there to get screwed outta running.

Went to the Hannibal City Council meeting tonight to get permission
to block off the street in front of rumors, downtown Hannibal.
Parking of trailers will be down by the river, same as last year.
Teams will SLOWLY drive their rigs 1 block to the tech area.
It's a Go!
Cooper Tire is once again sending their simulator fold out semi!

Tech is listed on the website as 4-8pm. Not sure if that is the latest or not but I'm pretty sure that is what we did last year.

Yes, tech is Downtown Hannibal from 4p-8p.

Tom and I are providing free hot dogs and Rumors
is going to cook them and serve them for us to
the visitors to tech inspection(and the teams if they want them : )
The Cooper Tire Simulator Semi will be on display as last year.
The Hannibal Visitors Center is going to do advertising
including info on the free food and the Cooper Semi to
get people downtown on Friday night.

I am leaving tomorrow to be there for tech on Friday. As always Maxxis will be there to help teams finish and compete. I am looking forward to it. I just love those Hannibal Rocks. If Teams want to get a deal on fresh rubber for the weekend let me know by phone.

$15 for adults.
Kids 8-15 $5
7 and under are free

BTW, Pepsi if Quincy, IL made us some 3'x8' banners
for this event.
Fastenal, OReilleys and Rumors all of Hannibal allowed
us to hang these at their businesses. Please thank these
folks and patronize them.
Also thanks to Chris Furniss and Brian Fowler for getting posters out for this event and again thanks to Pepsi for printing the posters.
